  4. with 112 million bucks usually are. It's refreshing to see a
  5. new publishing empire devoted to a philosophy boulevardiers
  6. have espoused for centuries: "Many a good tune has been played
  7. on an old fiddle."

  11.     As a charter subscriber to Lear's magazine and a
  12. 67-year-old avid reader of its pages, I admire Lear's revelation
  13. of having had a face-lift, but I am amazed that she resorted to
  14. such outside help instead of believing her publication's concept
  15. that there is beauty in the faces of women of advancing years.

  19.     Lear is right that the Playboy image psychologically
  20. cripples women because sexuality is judged on the basis of age
  21. and dimensions. However, her hope of someday seeing "porn films
  22. with 55-year-old women in them" degrades a woman's dignity and
  23. worth in much the same way.
